On December 7, 2022, we took a few minutes before Lodge to step outside and witness the lunar occultation of Mars. A lunar occultation is an astronomical event that occurs when the Moon passes in front of a celestial object, such as a star or planet, and blocks it from view. In this case, the planet Mars could be seen approaching one side of the moon and then being hidden from view until it returned on the other side. It was a great educational and bonding moment for our Lodge.
